VP/Director, People & Performance


The VP/DIRECTOR, PEOPLE & PERFORMANCE will direct and oversee littleBits’ HR plans in order to support the company’s mission, values, and overall strategy.

This role has high accountability and reports directly to the CEO. The VP/Director, People & Performance must prove to be a leader and strategic thinker, as well as an effective people manager and problem solver. The role supports the execution of business unit strategies and plans via the implementation of HR strategies and solutions that support short and long-term business objectives.


  • Develop strategic HR plans and policies (including recruitment, training, compensation, benefits, retention, etc.)
  • Hire, guide and evaluate the work of the People team
  • Decide and act on initiatives for equal opportunity and diversity
  • Assume responsibility for employee relations
  • Re-engineer processes for maximum efficiency
  • Ensure all procedures and processes comply with legal regulations and best practices
  • Drive the people programs that prepare littleBits for future growth
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders and business leaders in the company
  • Promote cross-departmental alignment to ensure consistent application of processes and programs
  • Prepare reports for the CEO using business metrics and KPIs
  • Maintain/update organizational charts, compensation guidelines, and personnel files so documentation is always current and relevant
  • Manage and implement company-wide health care programs and manage other third-party vendor relationships
  • Communicate, enforce and embody our company values


  • Proven experience as VP of HR or other senior HR role (8-10 years experience in HR roles and 4-5 years managing a team)
  • Experience in strategic planning and implementation
  • Deep knowledge of all core HR functions
  • Ability to use metrics and analytics to measure HR initiatives
  • Knowledge of local labor law
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills
  • Self-starter
  • Ability to know when it is important to act as a mature advisor and when to roll up your sleeves and execute on an assigned task
  • Well-organized with strong ability to multi-task
  • Comfortable managing change
  • Excellent leadership qualities
  • BA/BS in business, HR, social sciences or related field
  • Certification (PHR/SPHR) preferred
